Marito Marques – Na Eira
This girl might exactly be the next best thing coming out the UK Soul scene. You might recognize her voice from the collab. with rudimental. This incredibly humble and talented singer just released her debut album “The Diary of Me” with a sold out show at The Waiting Room (London, UK). You can get “I Remember” for subscribing to her mailing list at http://www.mahaliamusic.co.uk
Boys and Girls if you are looking for a sound to set the mood, this is it!! Described by Jimmy Fallon as “the next big thing in R&B”, with a voice like this, flawless instrumental and that falseto man… just wait for that Grammy to come! “Ology” his debut album was released earlier this year and is everything you could wish for!
Well… it took me a while to write this post. I wanted to be just right for this two-time Grammy award winning band, Snarky Puppy. They are everything you can wish for. Classical, Funk, Jazz, Fusion, Afro you name it they have it. Described as Jazz-fusion would just categorize them as great music or how Michael League puts it “music for the brain and the booty”. Rich and dense textures combined with soulful melodies with great note choice make up a mixture you can’t look away!
Kandace Springs is yet another Prince approved singer-songwriter. Inspired by the great Norah Jones is in this subtile atmosphere she feels more comfortable.
A unique voice that wants to be known as “one the younger people that are keeping jazz and soul alive and vibrant”.
Femi Temowo is a Mercury Music Prize and MOBO Award nominated musician who you might know from working with Amy Winehouse and George Benson. He’s Afro-Jazz style is heavily influenced by the likes of Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade but also Charlie Parker and Miles Davis.
“One of Europe’s finest and most sought after guitarists.”- Timeout Magazine
